  2. I am learning how to play chess Any tips

  3. 3:32 you say that you have to change the piece what if you’re playing and your opponent hasn’t taken any of your pieces can you still pretend that the pawn is Queen knight Bishop etc? Or are you only allowed to change into a piece that has been taken?

  4. I haven't played chess since high school and came to refresh my memory because now my son (9 years old), wants to learn after reading Harry Potter 🤓🤓🖤🖤

  5. was trying to code up a chess game, this video is kinda making me regret it

  6. Nowhere in Netflix it says chess originated in India. Netflix is so racist.

  7. Thx for this video. Watching this two days before a chess tornement when I have no idea how to play chess lol.

  8. My last chess match was unbelievable. I have this classmate–let's call him Anthony–who has a learning disability. While I don't know what it's officially called, it limits his general ability to understand things. I can't tell you how many times he needed clarification in school. He's slow, Mr. "I don't get it." He always needed help in setting up the equipment for biology class (while we all could do it easily) and he had to switch out of our chemistry class to take his own individual (and simpler) assignments to Special Ed. Not to mention, he's an 18-year-old junior in high school. Well, he should've graduated by now. Apparently his learning disability and childhood speech delay kept him back two years, between preschool and middle school overall, so he's gonna graduate at age 20 (oh, man, that's sad). But what's even sadder is this: he beat me at chess. Chess is an intellectual game, requiring brains and strategy. I've always been good at it. I mean, it's no big deal if I lose a match to just any-ol-body, but if it's Anthony, that's just… wrong. Totally ridiculous. So I gotta ask…am I stupid?

  9. You think this is confusing. You should learn the science of Bowling.

  10. Moving the king: A king can not move within one square of the opposing king?

  11. Well that explanation wasn't very well, as it was mainly about edge cases. Who ever wants to play this beautiful game, play it without these edge cases in the begining. Just remember:
Rock – move in straight lines.
    Bishop – move in diagnols.
Knight – 2 squares straight and one sqare aside.
    Queen – straight and diagnols.
King – like queen but only one sqare.
Pawn – moves only forward one swaure each time, and can move 2 squares at the first time it moves. It eats in diagnol (one sqare in diagnol).
If pawn reaches the last line, he can becomes what ever you chose.
The goal: threat the king of the other side, and that king has nothing to do. Check mate.

  13. This Really Helped Me Learn About Chess!

  14. fun fact : whatever tile bishop is on will stay on that color for the rest of the game , ex : if bishop is on white tile , can only stay on that tile and cant go to a black one.

  15. At first I thought I couldn’t win cause this video had me lost asf but wtfffff I just won idk how but I won 💪🏽💞 you deserve a promotion Fr

  16. Queenside castling the king only move 2 squares not 3

  17. You show Queenside castling wrong. The King should wind up on C1, and the Rook on D1. When castling in either direction, the King always moves 2 squares, with the Rook "jumping" to the other side of the King.

  18. Someone is, "Breaking The Rules"; inside the World Game of Chess; If Not Contained Soon ; An Undesirable Outcome is a compleat Fallout ?

  19. I came here because we had a match against a school and i did not know how to play properly and i lost

  20. Did anyone else cringe when they demonstrated castling by moving the king to b1?

  21. 1:10 Did anyone else cringe when they demonstrated castling by moving the king to b1?

  25. I never liked chess an i was never interested at all in it until I got locked up at 19yrs old lol chess will burn time like crazy an it’s god for gambling lol

  26. When you showed the castling on queen side
It is wrong. Why? Beacuse the king moves 2 steps not 3

  27. Opening statement: ''…Chess for kids…''
    Strategically brilliant insult!

  28. 6:36 I don't understand how there can be only two Kings left on the board and still in play if only two kings being left on the board results in a draw (mentioned just before)?

  29. Came here after winning a bigger match on a game.
