  1. "The rules are the same as regular chess"
proceeds to explain every theory ever made in great detail

  2. I like how the developer implemented all of these complexities with no problems, but they took one look at en passant and were like, "Nah, we're not even gonna try to figure out how that might work across timelines; let's just say you just can't do it."

  3. If you actually play this game actively, your brain is just built different lol

  4. Man I can't wait to play 10D Chess with ⌿⌰⏃⊬ ⍙⟟⏁⊑ ⍙⊑⏃⏁⟒⎐⟒⍀ ⏁⊑⟒ ⎎⎍⊬⍜⎍ ⍙⏃⋏⏁ and only 2̵0̴4̶0̸ ḱ̴̩͇̀͂i̷̢͎͕̽͂d̵͍̿̉͘s̶̯͖͕̽̐̚ w̷̻͈̹̟͆i̴͔̥͋̉͒͑̃͝ͅl̴͙͓͔̆̽͆͝l̷̞̒̇̕͜ u̸̢͖͕̤̰̠̭̻͉̻͎̠̜̩͕͉̭̻̓̈́ͅn̶̡̛̛͈͉̟̞̻͍̲̰̠̣̙̫̓͆̒̍ḓ̷̊̒̿̈́̾̓̉̉̓̈͒̃͗͒͋̿͒̕͝ḛ̷̼̺̦̯͈̏͒̄̋̋͋̃̎̿̿̀̈́͊͘͠͝͝͠ȓ̵̡̛͖̘̼̼̳̩̯̜͈͍̒̍̋͑̈́͊͋͊̆́͌̋̒̚̕͘͘s̵̢̨͓̳̩̦͛́̿̋͋̆̍̚ţ̶̞̟̗̩̣̠̯̰̦̆͐͑̆̌̏̅̍̋͆͝͝ȁ̸̪̺̲̺͎͙̼̘̗̩̹̲̫͗̿̍͋̌̈́͊́̋̈́̕̚͜͜͝͠ṇ̴̡̧̼̝͈͑̿̍̔̀̾͑̂́͑͊̚̚͝͠͝͠d̴̛̛̰̯͇̱̥̣͙͓̥̝̺̠̂̿̎͂̽̍́͊̉̎̑̆̂̚ͅ

  5. This is what happens when you put Chess and Back to the Future in a blender.

  6. I need someone to clip "We'll discuss time line branches after we've covered the basics of time travel"

  7. I'm only half of the video and my head hurts💀

  8. I only count 4 dimensions… 2 on a normal board, +1 for time +1 for timelines. What is the 5th dimension???

  9. I am officially mentally scared because of this chess variant

  10. I'm actually better at chess when time travel is involved, I just find the time travel mechanics really intuitive.

  11. This is the most interesting, informative, yet confusing video that I have watched to it's full extent. Maybe it's because of my basic chess and Hollywood time travel knowledge.

  12. Funnily enough, because the third spatial dimension goes unused, this is technically 4D Chess, not 5D Chess.

  13. Getting chackmate in 104 paralell universes 🙂

  14. Why did I understand this so well

  15. I already have enough problems in ordinary chess.

  16. Everybody gangasta before Spiderman 2099 says: "yo its a canon event"

  17. I tought you'd be able to move pieces through the 3rd, 4th, and 5th dimensions

  18. So basically this is playing chess with Michelle Yeoh

  19. Another way to think of the movement is this (please correct anything I missed or got wrong):
    * If a piece moves in multiple dimensions, it must move the exact same number of spaces in each dimension.
    * The king may move 1 space in 1-4 dimensions
    * The queen may move any number of space in 1-4 dimensions
    * A rook may move any number of spaces in an single dimension
    * A bishop may move any number of spaces in exactly 2 dimensions
    * A knight may move any two spaces in 1 dimension and 1 space in a different one, ignoring intervening pieces
    * A pawn may only move 1 space towards opponent's side or opponent's created timelines; it may move two spaces on it's first move. To capture, as well as it's normal single space movement, it also moves left, right or back one time step

  20. This is a great game. Sometimes, I win without even knowing why. I haven't played much on larger boards, I usually play smaller boards.

  21. "We'll discuss timeline branches after we covered the basics of time travel"

Never thought I would hear this sentence in my lifetime 🤣

  22. I’m 5 minutes into the video and i feel scared and confused. I can understand why its tagged as a physiological horror game

  23. I'm efuriated that bishop must move laterally after time travel. And also that it is allowed to timetravel into own timeline

  24. Thankfully en passant is not allowed through timelines, that would have made the game complicated

  25. Did you just say ’void space’? Oh my days bruv.

  26. I usually come here so i can listen him and sleep

  27. But isn't this more like 3D chess? The timelines basically only create one additional dimension.

  28. Pieces can move on the
    1) X axis
    2) Y axis
    3) Forward and back in time
    4) Parallel through timelines in the present.

So why is it 5d Chess, and not 4d chess? What am I missing here?

  29. I dont like the bishops time travel moves. It can alternate its space color by doing that. Bishops should always be restricted to the same color.

  30. What a baby game. You mean you have to use your hands?

  31. I'd play 1 game but I want it to be in real life. Between my phone for showing legal moves boards and keeping track of turns and physical boards and pieces physically moving to boards
