  1. Now i want to see an anime or a show like queens gambit where magnus carlsen travels back in time meeting and playing against these old legends

  2. Imagine after 100 years from now players might be rated 4000

  3. Why does Mieses look like a 19th century villian XD

  4. #suggestion
14-year-old Mikhail Botvinnik vs Reigning world champion Jose Raul Capablanca, Leningrad 1925, simultaneous exhibition match. Rumour has it that after Capablanca realized he would not be able to turn this game around he just swept the pieces off of the board and moved on to the next game instead of resigning, with a nasty look on his face.

    #suggestion
Tadej Sakelsek vs Philip Corbin, 2004 Chess Olympiad, Cálvia – Spain, Elephant Gambit. Corbin, known as "Caribbean Tal", sacrifices a rook and 2 pawns for a devastating attack on a king that overstood his welcome in the center of the board. Although this is a miniature, there are so many pause-the-video worthy moments and such spectacular attack lines that you will probably need a 20 minute video to analyze this one.

  5. Aron Nimzowitsch in the thumbnail is looking like Count Dracula 😂😂😂

  6. Thank you I can't express it in words. Thank you for doing more of these.

  7. @agadmator We are waiting for the next saga still 😔

  8. Chess will be different 100 years after

  9. Nimzowitch was a terror in his Century 👋

  10. 2:00 position doesnot reach again means not in online games by amateurs?

  11. heartwarming to know early chess is only slightly more booked up than i am today. woo-hoo

  12. #suggestion can we see more of the authors of specific lines using them in their games? Like seeing Nimzowitsch play Nimzowitsch variention of 4 knights just magnifies the whole lines

  13. Game was over long before move 41 because there was an opportunity to for Queen and Rook and force resignation

  14. Wow! Steinitz was not a fan of Mikhail Tal, but would rejoiced with Fischer.

  15. My first chess book was *mein System*. Hence, watching Nimzowitch play feels like meeting an old friend at the bar or the library. 😊

  16. #suggestion I'm loving all the nimzowitsch games you're covering!! He is one of my favourite players and his games are super interesting/instructive! Please cover more from him!

  17. I tend to find the right move more often in Nimzowitsch games. But in fairness the first master games I reviewed were his, so he has been very influential to my style

  18. Nice game! Those old masters didn't play around! They loved their tactics! Thanks!

  19. „Half a full point ahead“ is my favorite standing

  20. Finally a pause the video movement where an obvious move was the actual move!

  21. Thank you for all the hard work you do to bring these great games to everyone.

  22. I'm I the only one who thought the thumbnail was Frazier crane 😅

  23. Nimzowitsch reminds me of the actor Bill Hader lol

  24. Nic (J Bruce Feynman Niccolo P. Bentulan) says:

2nd comment: ugh … hikaru beats wesley so in 19 moves in last game of 2023 american cup? #suggestion

  25. Nic (J Bruce Feynman Niccolo P. Bentulan) says:

Philippine women's chess #suggestion – WGM Janelle Frayna, the female Wesley So, upset Georgian GM (really GM not just WGM) Bela Khotenashvili at the 2022 world blitz.

    There's a 13-move UNDERPROMOTION puzzle here.

    [Variant "From Position"]

    [FEN "6k1/6b1/1p1P3p/6pP/3pPpP1/p2NqP2/6K1/5Q2"]

    1. Qd1 a2 2. Qb3+ Kf8 3. d7 Qe2+ 4. Nf2 Ke7 5. Qd5 Kd8 6. Qe6 Bf6 7. Qe8+ Kc7 8. Qc8+ Kd6 9. e5+ Qxe5 10. d8=R+ Bxd8 11. Qxd8+ Kc6 12. Qa8+ Kb5 13. Qxa2

For some reason none of the Philippine channels except Kelvinllovejr even cover this game. LOL. But Janelle did cover the game where e drew against Nemo, so maybe Janelle will cover this game later on.

P.S. Please help get Wesley So on Lex Fridman's podcast. See

  26. Ofc, its much easier to train and play digital.

  27. The picture of Mieses shows that 100 years ago not only chess was different but also chess players were very different.

  28. How things change: a contemporary comment said that Mieses 'lost his way in time trouble' whereas modern comment says 'lost after move seven'.

  29. Pls show Akiba's game in this tournament

  30. Again, more of this vids! what about a new series?

  31. I hate the Nimzo Larson Adhiban attack but I still love Aaron 😅

  32. "I hate Mieses to pieces." A. Nimzowitsch
    🐭

  33. I'm glad there was a Walter in that tournament. ♟️

  34. Wait, does anyone know what the heck is the move or word he uses on 5:18?? Please help it's driving me crazy
